Emotional Healing

An innovative and highly effective process to achieve complete and more total healing is direct, focused, and combines healing the past while creating the future. You will make a subtle and effective transition to self-discovery and empowerment.

Traditional psychotherapy/psychoanalysis fails to address the all-important relationship to one's true spiritual nature--relying solely on developing better coping strategies. Traditional spiritual practice often bypasses -and thus fails to transform - the psychological conditional patterns and unconscious beliefs that arise from our personal histories and adaptations.

Both, in general, neglect the fact that we feel, sense, and experience global political mass consciousness, as well as our individual consciousness, like never before. A Mind, Body, Spirit approach addresses all three, therefore opening the door to true balance and emotional healing.

Well-being comes from the understanding of the Self, the family, the local community in which we live, and the global community of which we are a part. We are each one heart of the Whole; each heart here to express its unique piece of the Whole. Knowing Self creates a sense of I as a piece of this Whole, different and one at the same time?knowing how to have fun, and knowing how to consciously create success. Good health is the aliveness you create?aliveness with love, trust, expectancy and enthusiasm?with which you live your life and explore your reality.

Treadmills Home Exercise Equipment

Thinking about purchasing a treadmill? Which brand should you go with NordicTrack, Weslo, Proform, Reebok, Healthrider, Weider, Gold's Gym? I was and honestly it took me about a month to finally decide on one. There are so many different options and price ranges. There are inexpensive ones that start about $150 and the more expensive commercial treadmill priced at about $5000.

After doing my research I settled on a NordicTrack one that goes for around $1200. If this is something you believe you are really going to stick with and feel you will use regularly I recommend staying away for the low end price models.

The treadmill I ended up with has an incline of 12%. I recommend you get one that goes to at least 10%. The mph I bought goes to 12mph, this I would recommend at least 7mph. What else do you need to consider? I like the space saver models. You can just fold them up and put them against the wall. Be aware thou even folded they are still pretty bulky if you get one with a good size track.

The treadmill I got comes with ifit technology which I was a little skeptical about until I tried it. It is really awesome. You go online and answer some simple questions plug your computer or laptop into the treadmill that uses ifit and it automatically controls your exercise routine. Controls speeds and inclines. If you are new at exercising I highly recommend getting a treadmill with this feature. It is like having your own personal trainer.

I also came across a similar program to ifit which you can download and create your own workout routines for exercise equipment that is ifit compatible it is called i2workout. You can try the program for 30 days and if you want to register it is only about $30.

Use a treadmill to help you feel healthier, get in shape and to shed pounds and lose weight. I have tried many types of exercise machines and a treadmill by far is my favorite.

Lose 104 Pounds In A Year

Did you ever think about the fact that losing 2 pounds a week adds up to 104 pounds a year? That's a LOT of weight.

Sooo.... Let's say that you have only about 20 to 30 pounds to drop. You could safely lose that extra weight in 10 to 15 weeks, or about 2 1/2 to 3 months. I think that's a pretty handy thing to know.

Why you shouldn't try to drop weight too quickly

First of all, your body tends to want to retain weight; and the first weight that drops off is usually water weight, or fluid weight. So that 10 pounds that you drop so effortlessly and gain back just as quickly is probably just extra fluid.

Even if you try to starve yourself, your metabolism will just slow to a crawl, and make it that much more difficult to drop weight. Your body thinks it needs that extra fuel (weight) for survival.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Slow and Steady... says the tortoise.

Okay, now how do you do this?

Well, lasting weight loss means improving your eating habits and yes, exercising. This takes time and effort. This is one reason why quick weight loss is usually followed by quick weight gain - you haven't had enough time to develop good eating and exercise habits.

You can start by not skipping meals. This slows your metabolism even further. Try to eat five or six small meals a day to keep your metabolism revved up and burning those calories.

Exercise - think you just don't have the time? How about a quick ten minute walk two or three times a day? That adds up to 20 to 30 minutes of exercise a day. And you get the same benefits as exercising all at once. As a matter of fact, you get your metabolism going more often when you break exercise into manageable chunks.

Slow and steady weight loss is beneficial to your body AND helps you to adjust to new eating and exercise habits.

Besides, with everything else in life rushing by, why not slow something down? You'll feel great when that weight drops off and stays off, to the tune of 104 pounds in only a year.

Lasting Solution Acne 3 Main Factors Stopping You From Your Acne Free Life

The Problem: Symptoms are treated but not the cause of the symptom. An example of this is found in the common use of cream and drugs (Accutane) to treat acne. Furthermore, some acne medication has undesirable side effects and it can be different for each person. For example: A person who suffers from acne, who has never had dandruff problems before but after using Accutane for a few months begin to experience constant dandruff. This happened to me. However, it is quite common to see dandruff accompanied by acne.

Don?t get me wrong, these acne medications do work, but only as long as it can treat the acne faster than your body is producing the acne. If you stopped using these product to treat acne or your acne becomes worse, your acne will re-appear again, sometimes at a worsen state.

So what and where is the cause of your acne? The cause of your acne lies within your body system. It is highly influenced by these three factors; your hormone imbalance, high toxic build up and your genetic tendencies. These undesirable factors have come about from the choices you have made in life. These choices include your diet, daily activities, thoughts, emotions and sleeping pattern.

Although you can?t do much about your genetic tendencies, you have the power to balance your hormone and flush out the toxic that has built up in your system. A quick way to begin is to incorporate daily exercise, and eat food that nourishes your vital organs and less food that assist in building up toxic waste. Also make sure that you sleep at the right time, preferably at least before midnight, to allow your vital organs to rest and do their job.

Research has shown that your liver and gall?s detoxification process works best during deep sleep state, between 11pm to 3am. In addition, lack of sleep and waking up too early damages your liver. Damaged liver will hamper your body?s ability to flush out the toxic waste in your system. If you keep this up, acne will be the least of your only problems. Notice that when you begin to initially increase your body?s detoxification capability, you may experience worse acne that is temporary.

By the way, be certain about the pain acne have caused you and the pleasure it has robbed you off in your life. Then go out and seek the right information and a winning game plan to fight acne then take action towards your acne free life. One more thing, watch your thoughts as they produce emotions. Negative emotions and thoughts will lower your immune system thus affecting your health and acne. Cheer up! You are on the right track, after all you have been through, what don?t kill you will only make you stronger.

How I Lowered My Cholesterol Level By 56 Points

About a year ago, my wife encouraged me to get my cholesterol level checked. She had recently had her cholesterol checked and the results were normal. I went ahead and scheduled a test and fasted for twelve hours prior to the blood work being done.

The test itself was uneventful. The nurse checked my blood pressure, asked a few questions, and withdrew some blood. I was told to expect results within a few days. If I didn't hear from the doctor's office with a few days, I was to call back.

Turns out the results came back within a couple of days. I didn't need to call the office as they decided to call me. Instead of telling me what the results were, I was told to come in as soon as possible to review the results with the doctor.

By the time I hung up the phone I am assuming the worst. How bad could the results be if they are not willing to discuss the results over the phone? Needless to say, I returned to the doctor's office that same day.

The results were not good. My total cholesterol was 244, the LDL level was 161, and my HDL was 38. For reference, the recommended results at the time of my test were less than 200 for total cholesterol, less than 100 for LDL and greater than 40 for HDL. It was explained to me that the LDL level, the bad cholesterol, needed to drop. On the other hand, the good cholesterol, HDL, needed to increase. One of the ways that HDL increases is through exercise. LDL can decrease by a change in diet.

To be honest, I was shocked with the results. I thought my results would be in line with my wife's since we have the same diet. No, that was definitely not the case.

I also found out that your genes, your family, has a lot to do with your cholesterol levels. It didn't take me long to figure out what side of my family was to blame for my higher than expected cholesterol results. I found out from my father that when he first had his cholesterol checked just a few short years ago that his total cholesterol was well over 300! He immediately started taking medicine to reduce his total cholesterol.

So what did I do to drop my total cholesterol by 56 points in 8 months?

Three things I did to help reduce my cholesterol level are:

1) Exercise more - I added about 20 minutes of walking each day to my work schedule. I have a desk job and don't get a lot of physical activity during the working hours. I make an effort every day to walk at least 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon at work. This is in addition to the moderate running I do a few times a week.

2) Oatmeal - Do you know how easy it is at work to trot down to the vending machine and buy a candy bar when you are hungry? As a matter of fact, it is too easy. I now have a container of oatmeal, along with a box of raisins for flavoring, at work. When hunger pangs hit, I go to the area kitchen, microwave a half cup of water, add some oatmeal and raisins, and enjoy.

3) No more cheese - I personally think this has had the biggest impact on my cholesterol reduction, a low cholesterol diet. Since I am not a doctor, I can't be certain. I immediately stopped eating slices of cheese. For whatever reason, I love cheese. Regularly, I would eat a slice of cheese or a couple slices of cheese. I knew that couldn't be too good for me. This doesn't mean I don't have any cheese in my diet. I'll eat a burrito with cheese or a pizza with cheese, but I no longer eat slices of cheese.

That's about all I did, I didn't go on a restrictive diet or start taking medicine to reduce my cholesterol. I made a few lifestyle changes that I have faithfully implemented. It's been more than 365 days since I have been cheese free.

Like I said, my total cholesterol dropped by 56 points, from 244 to 188 in eight months. Also, my LDL cholesterol dropped from 161 to 124, still high but better than it was. The only disappointment was that my HDL remained the same at 38.

I hope that my story has inspired you to be aware of your cholesterol level and if needed, take action. While specific recommendations related to reducing cholesterol are best left to professional health care personal, I'm hoping that you will take care of yourself.

Snoring Food Is Your Diet Feeding Your Snoring?

Finding a solution to snoring can be sometimes be a matter of trial and error. What works for one person does not always work for another. There are some highly visible factors, such as obesity and smoking, which we know contribute to the problem of snoring. But there are also some factors which are not as obvious and can be easily overlooked in the battle to stop snoring. One of these factors is related to the snorer's diet. In particular, we are talking about the consumption of dairy products.

Dairy products are known to increase mucous production in some people. This extra mucous can restrict the airway passages and lead to, or intensify, snoring. This is unfortunate, since many people believe that a warm glass of milk or a warm, milky drink before bedtime will help them to have a refreshing night of sleep. In fact, we now know that in certain people, the milk can exacerbate snoring! Other dairy products, such as cheese, can have the same effect. Try removing dairy products from your diet for a trial period of two or three weeks and see if there is an improvement in your snoring.

If you are one of the people who is prone to snore because of dairy food consumption, then do not despair. It has been found that switching to products which are made from alternatives to cow's milk (such as soya milk or rice milk), will help you to reduce or stop snoring. It is especially important to avoid consuming dairy products later in the day. The nearer to bedtime, the more these products should be avoided if you want a night free from snoring.

Even without dairy products, it has been noted that snoring may be made worse by a large, rich or fatty meal eaten late at night. So try to avoid eating large meals close to bedtime. Also, some people have varying degrees of intolerances to certain foods. These foods can cause inflammation of the digestive linings and air passages. The individual may be unaware that this is happening, but the resulting narrowing of the airways can cause snoring. If you suspect that this may be the case, it would be useful to keep a food diary, recording what you have eaten during the day. By linking this information with the severity of snoring during the night (you will probably need your partners input with this), you may be able to banish offending foods from your diet or plan their consumption for earlier in the day.

If you wish to explore this option to help you stop snoring, please remember that we all need to eat a balanced diet. The consequence of removing a particular food or restricting the intake of a food group, should be discussed with a medically qualified professional. This is particularly important with dairy products, which provide a high proportion of calcium and other components needed for a healthy body. Keep the need for balanced nutrition in mind in your quest to stop snoring.

Is Removing Stretch Marks Possible?

A question a lot of women (and men, too) wonder, is whether it's possible to actually remove stretch marks. Unfortunately, the reality is that most stretch marks can't be removed once they've formed - depressing, I know, but true! Now, notice I said most stretch marks. There are stretch marks which can be removed, but it requires surgery. In the case of people who have lost large amounts of weight, or who after pregnancy have lots of loose skin, surgical removal of that skin (often containing stretch marks) is possible.

However, for most people stretch marks will remain, simply because surgery just isn't a realistic option unless it's really necessary. However, there are many stretch mark treatments which have proved successful in reducing the appearance of stretch marks, even to the point where the stretch mark is only visible under close scrutiny.

I?ll start by briefly discussing laser treatment to reduce stretch marks. Stretch marks in their early stages can often be treated quite successfully using a pulsed dye laser treatment. Older stretchmarks, which show both whitening of the skin and thinning of the skin, don?t respond as well to this form of laser treatment. However, there is a new laser treatment known as the Xtrac laser and ReLume light source, which has been developed for the treatment of older stretch marks (particularly the white skin). What the laser actually does, is to emit short powerful pulses of UV light, which stimulate the pigment-producing cells of the skin to make melanin. This results in a darkening of the skin affected by the stretch mark. This is often successful in bringing the color of the stretch mark closer to the natural skin color.

What about over the counter remedies? There are numerous products out there that claim to have an effect on stretch marks. Many are quite expensive, but the results have altogether been pretty disappointing for most users. The best skin treatments seem to be those containing vitamin A derivatives (such as Retin A). Another skin treatment which is believed to show promise is emu oil (an oil derived from the emu ? a flightless Australian bird). Of course, if you are a vegetarian or opposed to animal testing, then this remedy probably isn?t one you?re going to want to try.

So what can you expect from any stretch mark treatments? Firstly, I?d suggest that you don?t expect miracles. The best case I?ve ever seen of stretch mark removal came from abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) where the skin was removed and thus tightened. However, I?ve seen promising results from several other treatments, which resulted in the fading and diminishing of the appearance of stretch marks. I would suggest that if you have stretch marks you want to improve the appearance of, start off with the milder treatments, and if the results you experience aren?t to your liking, then consider visiting a dermatologist or plastic surgeon about your needs.
